Hello --

Is it legal in California for By Laws to state that the ratio of owners
residing in the building must be no lower than a stated value?

Example:
Our Association consists of 9 dwelling units.
Two of the units are occupied by renters.
The resident owners wish to prevent further units from being sold to buyers
who plan to rent their units.
Can we achieve that goal?

Thanks for any information or direction.

Better, I think, to prohibit rental.
Contract for deed would be a sorta rental,
but the occupant would be an owner in equity.
