We have a professional management company that handles the management
of the property. I wrote to them but they ignore my emails. I wrote to
the management company requesting to tell the garbage man to close the
lid of the garbage bins after pick up but the management company
ignroed my emails. I went to the management company's office today and
he did not even know what I was talking about. I explained another
issue and he said "I' will look into it" but did nothing. how do I get
the trustees and the management company to treat me with some respect?
They are all friends and taking me for granted. what's a good and legal
way to get their attention?

The first thing you need to do is write a letter and address it to the Board
of Directors, and send it to the management company. A lot of times if you
write the managment company directly they will just ignore it and the Board
will never know anything happened. If they still ignore you then go to the
next Board meeting and complain in person.

Please, that doesn't accomplish anything. For all you know, the next
board meeting is in 10 months. What's he supposed to do in the
meantime?

This is one of the problems with HOAs. They can completely ignore you,
and you're SOL.

Yes, I agree, but still most people don't even know enough to take the first
step and try to contact the Board directly. You can't blame the Board for
anything if they are unaware there is a problem.

Rick, there are some who claims that they can talk to dead people.
Are you claiming the same?

THAT'S your big problem? The garbage man doesn't put the lid down? That's
affects your quality of life?

You do sound like a real HOA-lover, I must say. Do you measure your neighbors
flower pots?

For the record, I don't think the original poster said it was a big problem
or it affects his quality of life. He just said his requests were being
ignored by the management company.
